We have multiple confirmed and pending cases of COVID at West Forest School. As per the instructions from the Department of Health, we will be closing the West Forest building for the next 10 days.
Students will bring Chromebooks home with them today. Both elementary and high school students should plan to join Google Meets by 8:00 AM Monday. Meals will be delivered on Monday and again on Wednesday between 10 and 11 AM for those families that have requested them. Please plan to have someone at the bus stop to receive the meals.
Since our positive cases are concentrated in grades 8 and below, Venango Technology Center students who can provide their own transportation to meet the bus at West Forest at 11:15 and home at 3:05 may plan to attend classes as long as they have not been quarantined. Students who cannot make arrangements to attend in person will have work provided remotely. In addition, JV and varsity athletes will be permitted to attend practices at East Forest and continue with their regular game schedule. All other after school activities, including junior high basketball, will be canceled or postponed. In-person instruction will begin on January 18 following the teacher in-service day on January 17.
