West Forest School ~ Mr. Wortman’s World Cultures students recently brought their learning to life by designing and constructing longboats as part of their current unit of study. Each group focused on accurately representing the culture, craftsmanship, and historical construction methods of the time period, applying both creativity and attention to historical detail. Once completed, students proudly tested their longboats to see if they could successfully float, putting their engineering and design skills to the test. Mrs. Beers also joined in on the fun, participating in the exciting boat-floating activity and celebrating students’ hard work and innovation.
