Komatsu Fluid Power Challenge
West Forest 7th and 8th graders participated in the Komatsu Power Fluid Challenge on May 9th at the Rocky Grove Fire Hall. The students’ goal was to build a working robot made of wood. The motion of the robot was achieved through the use of hydraulic or pneumatic power. Once students registered, they had four hours to complete the project using only the materials provided. The objective of the robot was to pick up a dowel rod and move it to specific locations on the game floor. Pictured at the game table are: Colton Whitton, Bobby Payne, Tara Brown, and Kale Morrison.
