This spring, Mrs. Druckemiller and her second grade class at West Forest read the book “Flat Stanley”. The class decided they would like to mail their very own Flat Stanley to a family member. The students anxiously waited for the return of their Flat Stanley to see what great adventure he went on while away. Students opened their mail to find letters explaining his adventures, along with pictures documenting the fun that he had! Some places that Flat Stanley traveled to were Hawaii, Georgia, Florida, Montana, North Carolina, Meadville, Tionesta, a Penguins hockey game, the State Capitol Building in Harrisburg, Saint Vincent College, and the Pittsburgh Zoo, just to name a few of his stops! It was a wonderful experience for Flat Stanley, the students, and the family members who participated!
