West Forest students demonstrated exceptional achievement at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Convention, earning multiple honors and national invitations. Among the top award recipients, Robert Payne and Esther Forker received a gold medal with a national invitation for their Chapter in Review Display. Alanah Wagner and Alison McLaughlin also earned gold and a national invitation for their Chapter Service Project Display. Izzy Wagner was awarded a silver medal with a national invitation in the Job Interview category. Additional recognition was given to several students who earned bronze medals. Ethan Beach and Natalie Wagner were honored in Nutrition and Wellness, while Kale Morrison and Kiarra Wagner received recognition in Promote and Publicize. These accomplishments reflect the significant time, effort, and commitment students dedicated to their respective projects.

The district’s leadership presence was also notable at the state level. Bobby Payne, who served as Pennsylvania Vice President of Membership, and Alison McLaughlin, Pennsylvania State Secretary, were both re-elected to their positions for the upcoming year. Their roles require extensive preparation, including organizing events, supporting membership growth, and contributing to the success of the state conference. Both students were recognized during the closing session for their service. At the regional level, Kale Morrison and Izzy Wagner continue to serve as officers, assisting with regional meetings and leadership initiatives. West Forest was further represented on the national stage by Macalie Hoffmann, who serves as Vice President of Parliamentary Law on the FCCLA National Executive Council. Hoffmann was invited to speak at the conference, highlighting her leadership and contributions to the organization. The success of the FCCLA program is supported by a strong network of educators, families, and community members. Debbie McLaughlin was recognized during the convention for her continued service and support of the local chapter, including chaperoning events and assisting students.
