The West Forest Drama Club put on three successful performances of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, adapted by Tim Kelly, on Friday, February 28th and Saturday, March 1st. This performance was produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Denver, Colorado, and it was directed by Mr. John Wortman. Audience members were transported to Wonderland where they encountered many classic characters including the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, the Mad Hatter, Tweedledee, Tweedledum, and the Queen of Hearts. Over the course of the production, around 40 students in 3rd – 12th grades participated as cast members, in set design, on the light crew, and the stage crew. Elementary classes, secondary classes, and the Parent Teacher Organization were also instrumental in supporting the show. Members of the Drama Club would like to express their sincere appreciation for the community’s continued support of their programs. In recent years, the West Forest Drama Club has produced shows including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Peter Pan, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Treasure Island. Actors and actresses are already looking forward to next year’s performance!
