West Forest Distinguished Alumnus 2026~

West Forest High School is proud to recognize Patrick L. Busch, a member of the West Forest High School Class of 1999, as this year’s Distinguished Alumnus.

After graduating from West Forest, Patrick attended Clarion University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Library and Information Science as well as degrees in English Literature and Athletic Coaching and Training. He graduated from Clarion in 2004 and began his professional career in Washington, D.C., serving as an elementary librarian at Aidan Montessori School. During this time, he continued his education and earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Science with a concentration in School Library Media from The Catholic University of America. Patrick also worked as an employee benefits and tax law librarian for a Washington, D.C., law firm.

In 2013, he married his wife, Hilary, a fellow West Forest graduate from the Class of 2000. Together they have two children, Rowan and Avery. In 2016, Patrick and his family returned to Clarion County, where they continue to make their home. He joined Keystone Junior-Senior High School as a Library Media Specialist and teacher and has dedicated the past nine years to supporting student learning and achievement.

Outside of school, Patrick enjoys being close to his family and the area where he grew up. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports with his wife and children, hiking with his dog, riding his motorcycle and side-by-side, grilling out, and, of course, reading and listening to books.

Patrick’s accomplishments, commitment to education, and dedication to his community reflect the values of West Forest. We are honored to recognize him as the 2026 Distinguished Alumnus and congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.
