Forest Area School District students participated in various activities related to Read Across America this week, with activities such as the one at West Forest, where a special Reader’s Theater event was held for families. Each grade level prepared and performed its own Reader’s Theater skit, giving students the opportunity to practice reading fluency, expression, and teamwork while sharing their work with parents and family members. The students did a wonderful job performing, and it was great to see so many families come out to support them and celebrate the importance of reading. Following the performances, families were invited to stay and enjoy lunch with their students. The Nutrition Department once again did an outstanding job preparing and serving a delicious meal for all of the families in attendance. The event was a great way to bring the school community together while promoting literacy and a love of reading among our students. At East Forest, there were themes each day, like the Dr. Seuss book, Fox in Sox. The PreK and K are included with their artwork related to the storyline.
