Quiet Creek welcomes East Forest Students
Earlier this month, Quiet Creek Herb Farm and School of Country Living in Brookville welcomed students from East Forest High School under the supervision of Mrs. Kristen Glass and Mrs. Alyssa Oliver. The school is dedicated towards helping people return to cleaner living with less waste and environmentally friendly practices. They encourage entrepreneurial opportunities with all students who visit the school. The students got some hands-on experience with an apple cider press, mushroom logs, worm composting, harvesting sweet potatoes and even tried some herbal teas. Shown here are tenth graders operating a 100+ year old cider press; Miles Romano is on the left, Skivan Ribeiro is on the right and in the middle is one of the owners, Rusty Orner.
