January is board appreciation month. The school board members and administration shared a dinner prior to the meeting on January 19th, provided by Nutrition. Superintendent Amanda Hetrick presented each of the board members with a certificate in appreciation of their time and commitment to the Forest Area School District. The Starfish Club at West Forest Elementary provided each of the board members with a small gift bag and the East Forest Elementary students made cards to show their appreciation. The students also made a poster to show support.
The board approved the appointment of Mrs. Tabitha VanDyke to fill the 2-year vacant Region C seat on the Board of Directors.
