Forest Area Industry Clubs Learn from Local Businesses

During May of 2022, the East and West Forest Industry Clubs traveled to the Cook Forest Fun Park. During the morning hours, they had the opportunity to learn about the Pine Creek K-9 Search and Rescue Unit, Mr. Dave Yeany spoke with the students about his Maple Syrup and Kettle Corn businesses, and the Fun Park owner, Tom Burns, spoke with the students about tourism in the Cook Forest area.  After a picnic lunch, the students had the opportunity to enjoy the water slide, mini golf, go-karts, and bumper boats.  The East and West Forest Industry Clubs, advised by Mrs. Lisa Banner (WF) and Mrs. Jane Cislon (EF) are school clubs designed for junior high students to start researching various career possibilities in multiple industries.
