Forest Area FCCLA Continues to Shine at National Conference
Students from East and West Forest schools recently attended the National Leadership Conference of FCCLA in Seattle, Washington for a week of competition, workshops and presentations. Shown in the picture are: (left to right, front row) Bobby Payne (silver medal), Kiley Oliver (silver medal), Kiarra Wagner (silver medal), Willa Heferle (silver medal), Alison McLaughlin (silver medal), Macalie Hoffmann (state officer), Hazel Hilyer (silver medal) and Olivia Chambers (bronze medal); (back row) Nick Geraci (silver medal), Chris Hoovler (volunteer), Jacob Glass (silver medal), Jonah Glass (volunteer), Ezra Miles (bronze medal), Alanah Wagner (volunteer), Vera Heferle (gold medal), Kyla Morrison (silver medal), Izzy Wagner (silver medal) and Kale Morrison (silver medal). Four of these students also made the Top 10 in the Nation in their event category: Vera Heferle, Bobby Payne, Kale Morrison and Izzy Wagner. During their down time, they were able to visit Pike Place Market, watch a Seattle Mariners baseball game, tour the Space Needle and they even rode a ferry to Bainbridge Island for dinner one night. The students and their chaperones all returned home with some wonderful pictures, stories and experiences of their trip to the Northwest.
