Forest Area FCCLA Chapters Experience Successful National Leadership Conference

Forest Area FCCLA Chapters experience a successful National Leadership Conference.  In early July, members of the East and West Forest FCCLA chapters ( Family, Career, Community Leaders of America) traveled to the National Leadership Conference.  This year’s conference was held in Orlando, FL, from July 5th through July 9th.  While there the students: explored exhibits, networked with FCCLA members from across the country, attended workshops and general sessions on various leadership topics, ten competed in STAR Events, (Students Taking Action with Recognition),  eleven served as either student room consultants or evaluated peers projects, two performed their PA State Officer duties (R. Payne, and A. McLaughlin), one served on the National Officer Election Committee, (N. Geraci), and one ran for one of ten National Officer positions, (M. Hoffmann).

At the end of the conference, the chapters came home with great ideas for this school year on how to be better leaders,  family members, and improve their communities. West Forest Chapter Members received the following honors: Silver Medal in Level 2 Entrepreneurship, Robert Payne and Alison McLaughlin, Silver Medal Level 3 in Career Investigation, went to Esther Forker, Bronze Level 2 Teach and Train was awarded to Alanah Wagner.
East Forest Chapter Members also received honors:  Silver Medal in Level 2 National Programs in Action, Hailee Oliver and Addyson Neill, Gold Medal Level 2, Chapter Service Project Portfolio and Top Ten Finalist to Vera Heferle,  and Gold Medal Level 3, National Programs in Action and Top Ten Finalist to was awarded to Jonah Glass, Nick Geraci, and Lauren Geraci.
One West Forest Chapter Member, Macalie Hoffmann, ran for National Office and won a seat on the 2025-2026 National Executive Council.  She is FCCLA’s new Vice President of Parliamentary Law.
Mrs. Rossetti, East Forest FCCLA Adviser, commented that Forest County has so much to be proud of and she is looking forward to seeing what both chapters accomplish in the upcoming school year.  Also, thank you to Debbie MClaughlin, Kristen Glass, Alyssa Oliver, Stephanie Swineford  and student Jacob Glass for their invaluable help.  Mrs. Rossetti and the students would like to especially thank our local communities, because of your support our students have and are gaining life changing experiences.
