Forest Area Elementary Students Chess Tournament at IU6
East and West Forest Elementary Schools entered teams into the Clarion Riverview Intermediate Unit #6 Chess Tournament on Monday, November 25th, 2024. Students from Brookville, Clarion, Cranberry, Keystone, North Clarion, Punxsutawney, Oil City, Redbank, and Titusville all participated. West Forest was represented in the 3rd/4th grade division by Huckleberry Spas, Hunter Flick, Colten Hillard, and Leo Rivera. East Forest was represented in the 5th/6th grade division by Branch Yeany, Dante Tobolski, Jackson Sekera, and Joshua Russ. Shown in the picture (left to right), Colten Hillard and Leo Rivera were two of only 10 students from a field of 48 who went undefeated in the 3rd/4th grade division.
