Forest Area celebrated Dolly Parton’s contributions to children’s literacy and her many charitable efforts with a special “9 to 5” Day on Friday, September 25. Students and staff joined in the fun by dressing in cowboy and cowgirl-inspired outfits with plenty of pink to celebrate Dolly’s signature style. Throughout the day, our school community also took time to recognize the importance of reading. At 9:25, students and staff paused for a school-wide reading session, giving everyone an opportunity to put aside their regular activities and spend some time enjoying a good book. It was a fun day that combined school spirit, reading, and a celebration of the positive impact Dolly Parton has made in the lives of children and communities.
