Forest Area 7th and 8th Grade Summer Program
Forest Area Schools will offer summer learning opportunities for students who have completed grades 7 and 8 this year. We are planning to offer six days of learning, with a theme for each two-day session, to be held at both schools. For each two-day session, students will participate in hands-on learning activities in the morning on “day one”, while the “day two” activity will be a field trip reinforcing the lesson learned the day prior. To attend the field trip, the student must be present on the first day. Parents/guardians must transport their student(s) to the school.
The deposit for the camp is $10.00 which will be returned to the students on the morning of their last field trip day. Applications for camp have been given to the 7th and 8th grade students. Those who wish to participate must return the application form, field trip permission slip, medical form, the $10 deposit, and must write a short response answering the question “Why is it important to continue learning throughout life?” All 7th and 8th grade students are encouraged to participate.
