On the first day of school, Mrs. Robin Cornecki’s Fundamentals of Math 8 and Algebra I classes at East Forest High School did an activity called 1- 100, where students worked in groups of 4 to find numbers from one through 100 where they were timed! After they completed one round, they talked about patterns that could help them move faster to find the numbers and other strategies they could use to improve their speed. This activity taught students how to work as a whole group in math class. The students had fun and did not even realize that their pictures were being taken because they were concentrating on the activity so much.! Shown at the front grouping are: Alex Carroll, Mathew Wonderling, Jacob Glass and Vera Heferle; the back grouping has: Luke Simpson, Johnathen Lindig, Brody Hartle and Hailee Oliver.
