East Forest Jr/Sr High School FCCLA chapter members attended the annual PA FCCLA Leadership Conference, March 23 through the 25th, at the Kalahari Resort and Conference Center. The members participated in numerous leadership and networking workshops and competed in STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) with the following results: Chapter in Review level 3 participants: Addyson Neill, Hailee Oliver, and Vera Heferle earned a Silver medal and National Team Honors. Chapter Service Project Portfolio level 2 participants: Alexandrea Carroll and Mathew Wonderling earned a Gold medal and National Team Honors. Event Management level 3 participants: Maya Shionis and Grace Cornman earned a Silver medal, National Team Honors, and a scholarship. National Programs in Action level 3 participants: Logan Stevenson, Garrett Swineford, and Abagail Potter earned a Silver medal. Promote and Publicize level 3 participants: Jonah Glass, Jacob Glass, and Nicholas Geraci earned a Gold medal and National Team Honors. They were also awarded the Power of One recognition.
The chapter was honored for their work within their school and local communities with a chapter Outreach award, Families First, Community Service, and Stand Up for FCCLA, The Chapter Caring Award, a Gold level Outstanding Chapter Award, and Membership Award. Alyssa Oliver, a paraprofessional at East Forest Schools, was honored with a Chapter Service Award for her extensive help and commitment to the chapter.
The chapter thanks all those: administrators, the school board, school staff, and community members, for your support. We could not have accomplished our goals and had the Ultimate Leadership Experience this year. We look forward to representing Pennsylvania and all of you at the national level.
