Career exploration
All 5th and 9th grade students at both East Forest & West Forest attended presentations of various programs at the Career Center in Oil City in October. Instructors at each of the programs gave presentations within their rooms to give the students an immersive experience. Teachers and students from the 15 different programs were able to demonstrate to students what they could gain from joining and using their own unique abilities and interests to build applicable skills for the workforce. The different shops that students could choose from are Allied Health, Auto Body Repair, Automotive Technology, Building Construction, Computer-Aided Drafting & Design, Computer Information Systems, Culinary Arts, Dental Assistant, Electronics Technology, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, Heavy Equipment Repair, Machine Tool, Natural Resources, Protective Services, and Welding Technology. This event was organized by the Guidance Department.
