Beyond the Textbook: Experiments Drive Forest Area Student Learning
Mrs. Olson’s 8th Grade Science class was conducting experiments using Mad Science labs. Students were given mystery ingredients and instructions on how to measure and combine the ingredients. Students had to observe what happened when the ingredients were combined to guess what the mystery ingredients were.
Mrs. Schmidt’s 4th Grade Science class is learning about plant cells and animal cells. Students were doing some hands-on activities in comparing and contrasting the two different types of cells.
