The fifth and sixth-grade students from East Forest traveled to Gettysburg on May 14th. The students started their day visiting the Gettysburg National MIlitary Park Museum and Visitor Center. The students were then taken onto the battlefield and were able to participate in a program that showed them what it was like living as a soldier during the Civil War. The students wrapped up their day with a tour of the battlefield. The students had a great time, and it will be a trip that they remember for their entire lives.
