The 3rd and 4th graders from East Forest Elementary have been participating in swimming lessons at the Clarion YMCA. Students first learned about the pool rules at the YMCA, and general water safety, including how to properly wear a life jacket. The instructors taught the students how to float on their back, tread water, and how to properly exit the pool. This has been a great experience for everyone, and the students should be heading into summer with improved swimming skills! Swimming lessons were made possible through the J Bowman Proper Charitable Trust.
