First Grade Letter to Mrs. Arner

East Forest Principal Mrs. Debra Arner stands beside a giant letter she received from the first grade students in Mrs. Teri Allio’s room. The children began a unit on writing a friendly letter, which they did as a group project. They learned about greetings, punctuation, indentations, where to put the different parts, and how to say nice things. Together, they composed the body of the letter, and then, one student, Elena Miller, was chosen to transcribe the class’s words to the giant paper, which she did beautifully. All the other students wrote their names on the paper and they presented it to their principal. A great example of learning and kindness in action!
