West Forest Students Dominate PA State Senate Competition

In 2018, the Pennsylvania State Senate sponsored a video competition to address underage drinking and drug usage in the Commonwealth. The contest was split between the middle and high school levels. West Forest Secondary School submitted entries for both categories. Our students won Senator Scott Hutchinson’s district which includes Warren, Venango, Butler, and Clarion counties. Additionally, they are in the final 50 submissions for all of Pennsylvania.  Senator Hutchinson visited West Forest on April 5th to personally deliver the awards.

Seventh grade was represented by Avah Burke, Aubrey Barnes, Emma McFarland, Madison McFarland, and Kylie Johnson. Meanwhile the high school entry was completed by Travis Swartz, Chris Pedersen, Dominic Grubbs, Kara McWilliams, and Jacob Humes.
