K-12 Principal:
12 month position available July 1, 2010. Elementary and Secondary certification required. K-12 Enrollment – 400. Applicant must possess leadership, inter- personal skills, data and curriculum knowledge, and ability to work with K-12 students and staff.

Assistant Business Administrator:
Full-time 12-month position available July 1, 2010. BS in Business Admin/Accounting or similar discipline required: School District business office experience preferred. Responsibilities: Accounts payable and receivable for the General, Athletic, Cafeteria, and Capital Reserve Funds, and assisting with the preparation of the General Fund Budget.

The Forest Area School District is looking for professional substitute teachers and support staff substitutes in the following areas:

Substitute Custodial workers. Cafeteria workers, Aides, and Secretaries shall be compensated at the rate of $7.25 per hour.

Day-to-day substitute teachers shall be compensated at the established rate of $75 per day for the first twenty-five full days (or its equivalent) of substitute work, regardless of the certified area assigned. On the 26th day of substitute work, the employee shall receive $80 per full day and on the 53rd day, the employee shall receive $85 per full day. Beginning on the 80th day of substitute work (which is also the day upon which the employee must begin contributions to the retirement board fund), the employee shall receive $90 per full day for the remainder of the current academic year for which he/she is working. All days working as a long-term substitute teacher within this district shall be credited as accumulated substitute days for payroll purposes. 

Day-to-day substitute nurses shall be compensated at the established rate of $95 per day.

Long Term substitute teachers - The temporary employee shall be paid at the established substitute rate for the first ten days of service. Beginning on the eleventh day of service, the substitute teacher shall be paid at a daily rate of  $180.56.  This rate is based upon 180th of $32,500 (the equivalent of a starting teacher's wage.) This rate shall be adjusted accordingly on a "per period" basis for long-term substitutes who work partial schedules.
